Some notes -
To optimize the performance of video before it has been
encoded for the web, some basic guidelines will help
make it look good. |
|
1. Ensure
that the video brightness and colors work well with the
colors of the background on the web site that it will be
displayed on. E.g., dark images don't work well with
white backgrounds, but bright images are fine for dark
backgrounds. (it's really more a matter of contrast
between the two.) |
|
2. Constant
motion, especially a lot of fast motion with fast edits,
will be noisy and choppy after encoding. Static shots
work the best and will be the cleanest on the web. |
|
3. Wide
angles with very small details will be difficult to see
on the web. The image size will end up pretty small by
the time it is encoded. Close-ups are better for web
video than wide shots where your subject is very small. |
